Looking for a Hootsuite alternative?

People arriving here are usually running many accounts for many clients, and the question is rarely about scheduling. It is about seats, approvals, per-client separation and what the reporting looks like at the end of the month.

You will not find a feature table for Hootsuite here

Both products ship continuously, so any table we wrote would be a page of confident errors within a quarter — still sitting on our site, with our name on it. What follows is what AlgoMuse does, and the questions worth asking of any tool, ours included. For Hootsuite's current features and pricing, read Hootsuite.

What AlgoMuse does

A workspace per client, not a folder per client

Each client gets its own workspace: its own connected accounts, calendar, approvals, brand voice and reporting. Roles are per workspace, so a freelancer on one account cannot see another. You switch between them without signing out.

Connect client accounts through your own developer app

Bring-your-own-app means a workspace authorises the social platforms through your agency's OAuth app rather than ours. The API relationship, the rate limits and the platform review stay yours — which matters when a client asks whose app is posting to their account.

Approvals that leave a record

Draft, review, scheduled. Reviewers comment on the post itself, nothing publishes until it is approved, and workspace activity is written to an audit log — who changed what, who approved it, who connected an account.

Reporting a client will read

Custom reports across any combination of accounts, date ranges and metrics, exported or scheduled to send on a recurring basis, with competitor benchmarks alongside your own numbers.

White-label from the Business plan

What the client logs into carries your branding rather than ours.

Questions worth asking any tool

Including this one. A buyer who works through these makes a better decision than one who reads our version of someone else's feature list.

  • How are clients separated — workspaces with their own roles, or tags on a shared account?
  • Can you connect client accounts through your own developer app, or only through the vendor's?
  • What happens to a scheduled post when a platform rejects it: retry, visible failure, or silence?
  • Can a client approve content without being able to publish it?
  • Is there an audit trail of who approved what, and how long is it kept?
  • What does adding the eleventh client cost — a seat, a plan tier, or a call with sales?
  • Which networks publish automatically, and which quietly mean 'we send you a reminder to post it yourself'?

What switching involves

01

Connect the accounts

Each network connects through its own official OAuth. No passwords are asked for or stored. Budget a few minutes per client.

02

Rebuild the queue, not the archive

Scheduled posts are re-created in AlgoMuse; published history stays where it is. Most teams move one client first and run both tools for a week.

03

Set roles before inviting anyone

Decide who drafts, who approves and who only reads, per workspace. It is far easier than retrofitting permissions after a mis-post.

Before you switch

Can I manage multiple clients in one AlgoMuse account?

Yes. Each client is a separate workspace with its own accounts, calendar, approvals and reporting, and you switch between them without signing out. Roles are assigned per workspace, so access does not leak between clients.

Do you compare AlgoMuse to Hootsuite feature by feature?

No, deliberately. Both products ship continuously and any table we wrote would be wrong within a quarter — while still sitting on our site with our name on it. What is on this page is what AlgoMuse does, and the questions worth asking of any tool including ours. Their current features and pricing are best read on their own site.

What does switching actually involve?

Connecting each account through its platform's OAuth, and re-creating scheduled posts. Published history stays with the platform it was published to. Most agencies move one client first and run both tools in parallel for a week.

Look at the detail instead

Every network page says exactly what publishes to it — including where a format is not possible.
